The moneyline on Calgary is sitting at -270 yet to buy 7 points, being the current number in which they are favored, in order to bring it down to the moneyline, the odds then become -315. Why?

In other words would it not make sense that after buying the seven points, if you chose to go that route, the odds should reflect the moneyline, which is -270?

No response and I figured as much because it is an interesting point and an explanation is tough to come by in the end.
